bouchee de la seconde section du côté de la première section;
t ,.. : .......

- La premiere section 31 qui forme la barre verticale du T, est relativement courte et est fixée par son autre extrémi-té 33 à l'entrée 25 de la chaudiere. Préférablement, la section 31 sera fixée a l'entrée 25 de façon a pouvoir etre facilement 20 démontée, grace, par exemple, a un filetage externe a son extré-mité 33. ;
' , .. . . . .. 77 ~ 6 The present invention relates to an electric boiler improved stick, specially adapted for use in combination with a closed circuit heating system, such than a central heating system.
By central heating system is meant any system using a liquid, for example water, circulating in a circuit closed as a heat transfer agent. Such a system includes usually takes a boiler in which the liquid, for example of water, is heated, a series of connected radiators to the boiler and a pump to circulate the liquid from the ; boiler with radiators and vice versa.

77 ~ 6 uniform heating of water using heating elements electric, many models of boilers have been proposed, provided with deflectors or nozzles intended to lengthen the circuit water along the heating elements or to ensure better distribution of water around these same elements. We can cite for example the model described in the US patent No 3.868.494 issued on February 25, 1975 in the name of A. Pépin.
Unfortunately, none of these known mods are known to be!
fully satisfactory.
In particular, none of the known models comprising several heating elements does not allow to obtain a heating uniform water within the boiler if either of the elements fails or is intentionally stopped by the user sator, when the latter decides to lower its temperature by heating, like, for example, in the spring.
None of the known models also ensures perfect distribution of water in the boiler body. This is characterized by the presence of cold or warm local masses especially in corners and underserved areas of the boiler, and very hot or boiling masses whose coexistence implies that of thermal shock detrimental to the switchgear and probably responsible for such annoying noises that we hear with practically all models of boilers known electrics.
The present invention relates to a new model of an electric boiler of the type comprising an elongated body horizontally, at least two heating elements arranged face to face and at the same height horizontally in the body from each end of the latter, a liquid inlet disposed in the bottom of the body and a liquid outlet located at the top of the body, which provides uniform heating in all circumstances, even if one of the heating elements is stopped.
'' - ''':::'' . .
77C ~ 6 The present invention also relates to a electric boiler in which the circulating liquid is perfectly distributed, which considerably reduces the risks thermal shock and noise related to these shocks.
The present invention also relates to a boiler electric fitted with a control system ensuring perfect safety in use in combination with any system central heating.
The electric boiler according to the invention is characterized 10 risée in that it comprises two identical nozzles, mounted in a symmetrical lesson at the inlet and outlet of the boiler, respectively tively. Each nozzle includes a first tubular section of diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the inlet or the outlet of the boiler and a second tubular section of the same diameter than the first section, which is fixed perpendicular-lie at one end of the latter to form therewith a T. The first section, which forms the vertical bar of the T, is relatively short and is fixed by its other end to inlet or outlet of the boiler. The second section which ! 20 forms the horizontal bar of the T, is blocked ~ each end .
and provided with two sets of symmetrical perforations with respect to has a plane passing through the axis of the first section perpendicular to rement to the axis of the second section. Each set of perforations includes a first circular perforation of smaller diameter to the diameter of the first and second sections and of parallel axis to that of the second section, which is arranged eccentrically that at the lying end of said second section on the side of the first section; two second circular perforations identical, of diameter equal to that of the first perforation and axis parallel to that of the first section, which are arranged a short distance from each other near the end mouth of the second section on the side of the first section;
t, ..: .......
~ 77 ~ 6 and three third identical circular perforations, of diameter meter equal but less than that of the first and second perforations, which are arranged at a short distance from each other other near the first section along a helical line from said first section to the blocked end of the second section, the second axis of these third perfo-rations being oriented parallel to the axis of the first section on the side of it.
It is after long research and many experiments on various types of nozzles that it has been discovered from:
surprisingly that the simple structure previously defined ensures perfect and complete distribution and circulation of the water inside the boiler, although, a priori, we could suppose that a more complicated or more symmetrical structure, such as an apple-shaped watering can structure, could ensure a much better distribution of the liquid around the heating elements.
We can, it seems, attribute the best perfor-mances of the electric boiler according to the invention available eccentric position of the first perforations at the extremities of the nozzles, which ensures a projection of the liquid on each side of the ends of the boiler towards the bottom of the latter, and a suction of the liquid at the same two ends of the boiler ~ ière from the top of the latter, as well as at the disposal -helical position of the third perforations on the surface of the nozzles, which gives a rotational movement to the liquid and ensures therefore a better passage of the latter around the various elements heated.
According to a preferred embodiment, the boiler ~:

These various means are preferably all connected to the same brain ~ electronics allowing to connect them all ; ~ and control them simultaneously.

- the large circle formed by the barrel on the wall 5, is intended to receive a set of five aquastats (not shown) such as those marketed by the company Honeywell. The first of these five aquastats is used for security purposes. It serves to automatically cut the electric heating circuit if the temperature of the liquid inside the barrel 3 becomes higher less than a predetermined critical value, such as 100C in the case where the liquid used is water. The four aquastats are associated with the four heating elements 13, 15, 17 and 19 respectively and operate independently of each other, which allows one or more to be lowered or cut at will heating elements and thus reduce the heating so continues rather than sequentially, as it does in known systems. These four aquastats can be group ~ s together or arranged near their heating elements respective rims, as appropriate.
The fifth or ~ opening 41 which is arranged in the bottom 20 of the barrel, is intended for the drainage of the boiler and is closed by a plug.
Finally, the sixth opening 43 which is also available placed in the bottom of the barrel, is intended for the regulation of pressure in the boiler. This opening is connected a conventional circuit specially adapted for this purpose.
The heating elements 13, 15, 17 and 19 which are J
all identical and of conventional type, are all four arranged in the same horizontal plane passing through the axis of the barrel.
Elements 13 and 15 which extend parallel to each other from wall 5 at one end of the barrel and are connected tees to the electrical circuit by their ends external to the barrel conventionally, are placed in the extension of ~ 1 ~ 77 ~ 6 elements 17 and 19 which extend from the wall 7 to the other ex-end of the barrel, fac, we obtain a heating symmetry and allow use of the boiler 1 with a single element heated.
The proper functioning of the boiler 1 is essential-due to the special structure of nozzles 27 and 28 which are both identical and will now be described in more detail detail with reference to Figures 2 to 4.
The nozzle 27 shown comprises a first section tu ~ ulaire 31 of diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the inlet 25 of the boiler 1, and a second tubular section 35 of same diameter as the first section 31. The second section 35 is fixed for example by welding, perpendicular to a of the two ends of the first section 31 which leads to it, and forms with the latter a T (reversed in FIG. 2).
- The first section 31 which forms the vertical bar of T, is relatively short and is fixed by its other extremi-tee 33 at inlet 25 of the boiler. Preferably, the section 31 will be fixed at entry 25 so that it can be easily 20 disassembled, thanks, for example, to an external thread at its end moth 33.;
The second section 35 which forms the horizontal bar of the T, is composed of two half-sections 37 and 39, which are symmetrical and arranged in the extension of one another.
The two half-sections 37 and 39 are plugged at their ends respective by two walls 41 and 45 and are provided with two sets of symmetrical perforations with respect to a passing plane P
by the axis of the first section perpendicular to that of the second section.
Each set of perforations includes a first hole hole 43 or 47 with a diameter smaller than the diameter of the first and second section and axis parallel to that of the second ~ 77 ~ 6 section 35. This first perforation 43 or 47 is arranged fac, we eccentric from the wall 41 or 45 of the side of the first section 31, i.e. from the bottom of the barrel, so that ensure a projection of the injected liquid on each side towards the bottom of the ends of the boiler, as illustrated by the arrow F in FIG. 1, and thus a ~ collect the liquid in the ends and corners of the boiler to hold a better thermal distribution.
Each set of perforations also includes a set two other identical circular perforations 49 or 51, of diameter equal to that of the first perforation 43 or 47.
These perforations 49 or 51 have their axes parallel to that of the first section 31 and are arranged at a short distance one on the other near the end walls 41 or 45 of the second section 35, respectively. These perforations 49 or 51 which are or ~ ertes on the side of the first section 31, that is to say towards the bottom of the barrel, serve as main outlets for the liquid which circulates. The flow coming out of these perforations 49 or 51 comes "break" on the bottom of the barrel 3, which again ensures better mixing of the liquid within the boiler.
Each set of perforations finally includes a set of three identical small circular perforations 53 or 55, of diameter smaller than that of holes 49 or 51. These small perforations 53 or 55 are arranged at a short distance to each other near the first section 31, according to a helical line going from the first section 31 to the end mity 41 or 45 of the second section 35. Small perforations 53 or 55 which are arranged so as to open on the side of the first section, i.e. towards the bottom of the barrel, the axis of the second of these three small perforations being parallel to the axis of the first section 31, serve to create not only a turbulence within the boiler 1 but also a movement _ g _ ~ 77 ~ 6 .. ~
of rotation of the liquid in the barrel around the horizontal axis of the latter, due to the symmetry of arrangement of the perforations relative to plane P.
According to a particular embodiment, the nozzles 27 and 28 are made of steel tubes having a diameter of 1 inch.
The second section 35 is 14.5 inches long. ~ es perfo-rations 43, 47, 49 and 51 have a diameter of 0.5 inch and the perforations 53 and 55 have a diameter of 0.25 inch.
The length of the first section 31 depends well heard from the arrangement of the boiler and more precisely from the depth at which nozzles 27 and 28 are driven in has inside the barrel. Preferably, these nozzles will be arranged so that their second sections 35 are about 0.75 inch from the bottom or top of the barrel, so that the flow passing through the perforations can be effectively and efficiently cement "breakage".
Nozzles 27 and 28 ensure very good circulation and distribution of the liquid within the boiler, in particular around the heating elements 13, 15, 17 and 19.
This has two main advantages.
First of all, this good distribution avoids any shock thermal between cold mass and hot mass in the barrel and significantly reduces the resulting noise. ~ -This good distribution also makes it possible to be able use the boiler with the same efficiency, which you plug in the four heating elements or only three, two or one only one of these. This is particularly advantageous since can thus regulate at will the system of the boiler and especially operate it continuously rather than sequentially when low heating is desired. So instead of plugging in for very short moments all the heating elements for - heat the water to the desired temperature, then stop it and 1 '~ 77 ~ `
repeat the operation sequentially, you can not connect only one or two of the heating elements that work then almost continuously.
Figure 5 illustrates an electrical installation diagram various heating elements and other electrical devices security previously mentioned.
The electrical circuit represented is supplied by a three-phase current source 61. The heating elements 13, 15, 17 and 19 with a power of 1 to 6 ~ w are connected in parallel between two of the wires A and B of the supply network. Every heating element 13, 15, 17 and 19 are associated with an aquastat 73, 75, 77 and 79 which, as previously indicated, operates independently while others, as well as a control lamp 83, 85, 87 and 89 mounted in parallel to each element. Son A and B are each equipped with a manual switch 65 and a contact tor 91 mounted upstream of the heating elements.
A 120V-24V 67 transformer is mounted between wire B
and the last wire C of the supply network, in series with a other manual circuit breaker 65. This transformer is used to supply in 24V current an electronic brain 95 such as that marketed under the trademark Electromatic SV 115-024, which has the function of cutting the entire electrical circuit heating if the liquid level inside the barrel falls below a predetermined level or if the temperature inside the barrel exceeds a predetermined maximum value 100C for example, in the case where the liquid used is water.
To do this, the brain 95 is connected to a cin-safety aquastat 71 and a probe 69 inserted at inside the barrel through opening 37, as above mentionned. The brain is also connected to contactor 91 via a relay 93. The contactor 91 and the relay 93 are generally one piece, such as f ~ 77 ~ 6 that marketed under the trademark STA by the compa-gnie Industrial Timer Division. The brain is finally connected to the earth, in a conventional way.
In operation, manual connection of circuit breakers 63 and 65 turns on both the heating circuit, including the heating elements 13, 15, 17 and 19, and the safety circuit rity including the brain 95 which energizes the aquastat 71 and probe 69.
If the temperature gets too high in the barrel or 10 the liquid level drops below the predetermined value, aquastat 71 or probe 69 act on the brain which acts in turn on relay 93 which cuts the heating circuit via contactors 91, thus avoiding any accident due to overheating fe of the heating system and more particularly of the heating diere.
~ Depending on the case, the circuit can then be reconnected filling the water level until the probe 69 is again submerged or while waiting for the temperature in the barrel is lowered below the critical value.
i` ~ 20 Preferably, we will use a safety aquastat 71 which can only be reconnected manually, in order to obtain the greatest possible safety in use.
This electrical circuit advantageously makes it possible to use the boiler 1 previously described in any type of heating system, since it provides the user with perfect safety of use.
