semble de la composition durcisse rapidement de manière à assurer ;
Cette répartition, Si l'on considère que la proportion de ca-talyseur par rapport à la résine atteint la valeur maximum possible, . 796 ~ 4 The present invention relates to improvements made the creation of cartridges containing the materials used to seal with an ~ e resin composition the bolts of an-drilling in mine galleries and the like.
We know, in particular by the French patent ~ ais nl 479 065 that bolts used for anchoring mine galleries and the like Gues can be sealed in place with resinous compositions.
its polyester type, these compositions being introduced into the holes to receive the bolts in the form of cartridges holding, in contact in elongated containers of various shapes, on the one hand the unpolymerized polyester added with inert fillers tes and its hardening accelerator and on the other hand the cata-curing lyser plus its inert charge. ~ ~
The constitution of these cartridges according to the dimensions holes and conditions for inserting cartridges and ~
bolts must meet a set of conflicting conditions.
Indeed, once the cartridge inserted into the hole and the bolt driven into the material constituting the cartridge, ma-In order to homogenize the constituents, it is important that the ~
seems the composition hardens quickly so as to ensure;
immobilization of the bolt as soon as possible ~.
For this purpose, it is useful to provide the most proportion high possible catalyst given the proportion of ac- ~
accelerator added to the resin.
Conversely, this high proportion of catalyst, which assu ~
re the speed of setting the ~ resin, may affect the quali ~ - ~
cartridge conservation tees, hardening of the resin ~ ~ ' risking to intervene spontaneously within a period of less than ~ three; ~
month, deadline considered as minimum for distribution and placing of these products.
~ The cartridges currently in use also have the following general constitution:
the resin is contained in an elongated cylindrical container, of the order of lm long and about 20 mm in diameter, and the talyseur contenan ~ the charges is present in the cartridge in the form of an elongated rod extending in the axis of the cartridge over practically its entire length and over a diameter of approximately 5 to 6 mm.
This distribution, If we consider that the proportion of ca-talyseur compared to the resin reaches the maximum possible value, .

on the one hand, the surface of the contact of the cataly-the resin is relatively high, so that the conservation selling cartridges of this size may not be very long and secondly that the introduction of the stick in a such a long touch may not be done in the best their possible conditions.
The present invention aims to remedy both these two disadvantages of anchor cartridges, namely on the one hand the ble shelf life and secondly the difficulty of setting place the catalyst in the cartridge.
- To this end, the invention relates to new cartridges, moreover ~ shorter in length than old cartridges and in which the ; catalyst instead of being arranged according to a thin rod following the axis of the cartridge, is concentrated in a volume whose diameter meter almost reaches that of the cartridge itself and on a short length in the front part of the cartridge, ie the part which will be flush with the opening of the mine hole or which will be in the direction of the slil hole is not the first first cartridge. In other words, a cartridge according to the invention instead of being composed of two concentric zones, the interior zone formed over its entire length by the composition of catalyst and charge and the external zone constituted by the uncured resin and its accelerator will consist of a main length consisting only of the resin, its access ~
lerator and its inert load and an area of about 10% in length but occupying practically the entire section of the cartridge and titrated exclusively by the catalyst itself and its inert charge you.
As an example, if we consider holes for bolts anchor having a length of about 2 m, the current cartridges-also in service have a length of about 1 m and a diameter about 20 mm while they contain axially and on their entire length a rod of about 5 to 6 mm in diameter and formed of the resin curing catalyst with its char-inert ge. On the contrary, according to the invention, three car-keys, each about 330 mm long, and containing each towards its anterior part an almost totally occupied area bed in section and on envi ~ on 1/10 of their length, made up by the catalyst and its inert charge, all the rest of the cartridge che being constituted by the resin, its accelerator and its charge . 3 ~ D79 ~ 9 ~ i _ ~ in ~ rte.
The consequences and advantages of this constitution are the following, unlike conventional cartridges.
First, we provide the anterior part of the car-affects the maximum concentration of catalyst in relation to the sine; further kneading by the rod of this catalyst element of very high viscosity locally causes significant heating so much, which means that when the bolt, this area of the cartridge will harden faster, which will keep the bolt in place, even if the rest of the bolt the cartridge hardens less quickly, the concentration as catalyst in the posterior zones of the cartridge being obviously lower since it results only from migration of the catalyst caused by the sinking of the swell in the axis of the cartridge.
This is a serious advantage in that, as we know, it doesn't matter that the bottom of the hole, or at least the upper part of the cartridge hardens more slowly when it is ensured that the bolt is held in place by the hard-as fast as possible from the anterior part.
Furthermore, the contact area of an area of the order of only 1/10 of the length of the cartridge for a section practically equal to that of the catalyst cartridge, is significantly lower than the contact surface between a tub extending over the entire length of the cartridge or a section lower, and as a result the risk of hardening spontaneity of the resin in contact with its catalyst will be much lower and therefore the conservation of cartridges will be better.
As an example, if we consider the cartridges according to the invention being 330 mm long and containing on 33 mm of their height at their posterior zone a charge of catalyst having a total diameter of 19 mm of the cartridge, compared to a conventional cartridge covering the entire length of 330 mm a rod from 5 to 6 mm diameter of catalyst, the total volume of catalyst being the same in both cases, the contact surface between the rod and the old cartridge es, t of the order of 660 mm2 while the load contact area of the new cartridge compared to the resin is around 200 mm2 alone-ment is a ratio of about 3.3, in favor of the cartridge according to .

the lnvention.
~ n other words, the cartridge according to the invention, character-laughed at by the concentration of the catalyst in an area of the order of the tenth of the total length of the cartridge, has for first advantage on the contact surface between the catalyst and the resin on the order of 3 to 3.5 lower, which further promotes the du-conservation of cartridges.
Likewise, the cartridges according to the invention, in which the catalyst is concentrated on the front tenth of their length cheer, will ensure a very fast setting of the resin on this long catalyzed spirit and a slower grip on the rest of the length while in conventional cartridges, the grip is medium-does over the entire length, which provides more convenience high installation of the bolt in the cartridges according to the vention. ~ ~
Of course, the digital reports cited here are only given as an example and other reports may be used, as soon as we respect the principle of the invention which to transfer the catalyst, currently arranged in rod `20 thin in the axis of the cartridge over its entire length, up to in an area concentrated in a small fraction of the length total of the cartridge and over practically the entire section of this in the anterior area thereof.
Such a constitution according to the invention of the cartridges of sealing anchor bolts in mines allows subdivision-ser the previous cartridges, which could reach more than one meter along, which made their constitution difficult and our-the installation of the catalytic converter rod, replacing them placing by cartridges 3 or 4 times less in length, and whose intervention and conservation have the advantages cited above.
