This invention relates to such devices as manually operated de~dbolts or security chains w'nich are still recAuired in conJunction wit'n current deadlock3 which l&ck safsty catches.
' It 1~ oor~ on in present day devices for securing a door to use a deadlock with i~ thumbturn on the inner ~ide of the door.
As the ma~orlty of thls type of a deadlock hGs no additional safety catcb or lockin~ button lt is possible for.a tr~pa~ser by means of z suitable key or lock-picking ~ear to unlock a dead].ock and enter the premisest As deadlocks of the type are ineffecient a~ainst such trepassers, the occupant also requiras an addltional safety device suc~ as a security chain or manually operated deadbolt mounted on the inner side of the door Double barrelled de?dlocks with a keylock on the lnner side of the door are secure but due to the difflculty of quick exit by the Occupant in the event- of a fire, such locks are unsafe and forbidden in many areas. .

Smaller a,.Zerz.tures #~ and Z~4 are designed to fit over thumbturns which are horizontal when t'ne deEdbolt of the dezdl.ock is thrown into the locked position, The other smaller ff.perE.tures ~5,f~6 &f~7 at the opposite end of the device are used on a varlety of thumbturns~,which are verticEl :

Claims
1. a means to secure the thumbturn of a deadlock by means of a flexible solid plastic device with suitably shaped aperatures to accommodate both the inner door knob simultaneously with the thumbturn of the deadlock, thus securing the thumbturn from being rotated and with-drawing the deadbolt by persons on the outside of the door concerned.
