Abstract

MOTOR DE COMBUSTãO INTERNA COM TEMPO ESTENDIDO. Refere-se a motor de combustão interna, de quatro tempos, com um ou dois destes tempos, expansão e admissão, estendidos pelo emprego de máquinas de fluxo rotativas de deslocamento positivo (100), de pistão rotativo (101), acopladas individualmente a cada um dos seus cilindros (2), com movimentos cíclicos adequadamente sincronizados com os tempos de cada pistão alternativo (1) do motor. As máquinas de fluxo rotativas de deslocamento positivo (100) utilizáveis no conceito desta invenção têm, preferencialmente, apenas um pistão rotativo (101) por rotor (102) ativo. Como conseqüência de suas formas e arranjos construtivos demandam ou geram fluxos pulsantes dos gases com que trabalham, característica que passa a ser importante vantagem para o acoplamento sincronizado com o cilindro (2) do motor. Através da expansão controlada, de forma sincronizada, dos gases descarregados de cada cilindro (2) se utiliza parte significativa da energia neles contida para gerar torque e potência adicionais no eixo virabrequim (5) do motor. Através da pré-compressão controlada, de forma sincronizada, do ar ou mistura ar / combustível que será admitida no cilindro (2) se consegue alimentá-lo sempre com a mesma quantidade de ar, independente da velocidade de rotação (v) do eixo virabrequim (5) do motor, com menor atraso de resposta para aceleração daquela rotação. Alternativamente, os tempos de expansão e admissão do cilindro (2) de um motor convencional podem ser estendidos pelo emprego de cilindros auxiliares (402) acoplados a ele de forma individual e sincronizada, em vez das máquinas de fluxo rotativas de eslocamento positivo (100), de pistão rotativo (101).
