Abstract
Detecção da temperatura do mancal da roda de um trem. Um sistema (10) para detectar uma condição de um componente de um chassi de um veículo ferroviário (p. ex., 18) inclui um sensor (p. ex., 12) compreendendo um grupo de elementos sensores de infravermelho (29). Cada um dos elementos pode ser apontado para uma região diferente da área alvo (p. ex., 32) de um componente de um chassi de um veículo ferroviário, de modo a gerar respectivos dados de varredura da assinatura da forma de onda que correspondem a cada região diferente. O sensor pode ser orientado de tal forma a que ao menos um dentre os elementos recebe emissões em infravermelho não obstruídas (p. ex., 33) do componente do chassi de um veículo ferroviário que passa pelo sensor. O sistema também inclui uma memória (42) para armazenar os dados característicos da assinatura da forma de onda que correspondem aos componentes conhecidos do chassi. Além disto, o sistema inclui um processador (40) para processar os dados da varredura da assinatura da forma de onda com relação aos dados característicos da assinatura da forma de onda armazenados na memória, de modo a identificar um tipo de componente de um chassi de um veículo ferroviário que está sendo submetido à varredura, bem como para extrair a informações indicativas da condição de saúde do componente de um chassi de um veículo ferroviário que está sendo identificado.
