Abstract

MéTODO E APARELHO SEPARADOR PARA SEPARAR óLEO E áGUA EM UMA CORRENTE DE ESCOAMENTO Um método para separar óleo e água em uma corre te de escoamento através de um vaso de decantação por gravidade (10) no qual a corrente de escoamento (12) separa em uma camada de água inferior (22) e uma camada de óleo superior (26), inclui alimentar uma corrente de retirada (34) da camada de óleo e/o camada de emulsão (20) que se forma entre a camada de óleo e a camada de água através de um coalescedor eletrostático compacto (CEC) (38) que tem eletrodos eletricamente isolados. O CEC coalesce gotículas de água na corrente de retirada e a corrente de retirada coalescida é então devolvida para o vaso de decantação. Um aparelho separador associado compreende: um vaso de decantação por gravidade (10), um CEC (38) que inclui eletrodos eletricamente isolados, uma linha de alimentação do coalescedor (34) configurada para fornecer uma corrente de retirada de uma fase óleo e/ou uma camada de emulsão a partir do vaso de decantação para o CEC; e uma linha de retomo (40) a partir do CEC para devolver a corrente de retirada para o vaso de decantação.
