Abstract

MONTAGEM DE STENT à BASE DE POLIMERO São fornecidos métodos para preparar uma montagem de stent à base de polímero compreendendo um cateter de balão inflável e um stent à base de polímero resistente a recuo negativo relacionado a relaxamento. Os métodos compreendem aquecer um dispositivo cilíndrico polimérico que está em um formato e diâmetro predeterminados finais a uma temperatura suficientemente acima da temperatura de transição vitrea (Tg) do polímero e por um período de tempo suficiente para apagar qualquer memória de processamento anterior do dispositivo cilíndrico polimérico e então resfriar bruscamente o dispositivo cilíndrico polimérico para fornecer um dispositivo cilíndrico polimérico, treinado, tendo uma memória do diâmetro e formato predeterminados finais, montar o dispositivo cilíndrico treinado em um cateter de balão inflável, reduzir o diâmetro do dispositivo cilfndrico treinado pelo aquecimento até uma temperatura em ou levemente acima da Tg do polímero enquanto aplica uniforrnemente pressão sobre a superfície exterior da parede do dispositivo cilíndrico, e então resfriar o dispositivo cilíndrico abaixo da Tg do polímero para fornecer uma montagem de stent compreendendo um cateter de balão inflável e um stent polimérico treinado, expansível disposto de forma encaiúável e estável sobre o mesmo.
