Um composto da fórmula R¬ 1¬.¢(AO)~ n~-R¬ 2¬!~ m~. (I) onde: R¬ 1¬ é o resíduo de um grupo tendo pelo menos m átomos ativos de hidrogênio; AO é um resíduo de óxido de alquileno; cada n é independentemente de 1 a 100; e m é pelo menos 2; e cada R¬ 2¬ é independentemente H, uma hidrocarbila C~ 1~ a C~ 21~ ou um grupo acila -OC.R¬ 3¬, onde R¬ 3¬ é um grupo hidrocarbila C~ 1~ a C~ 21~, onde em média mais de um dos grupos R¬ 2¬ é ou compreende um grupo hidrocarbila C~ 4~ a C~ 21~, composto de pelo menos duas ligações duplas etilênicas.
