Abstract
"INSTRUMENTO ELETROCIRúRGICO". Descreve-se um meio aperfeiçoado para isolar instrumentos eletrocirúrgicos e seu uso para instrumentos eletrocirúrgicos para reduzir a geração de fumaça em um local cirúrgico. Uma camada isolante é empregada, a qual pode incluir um material cerâmico que é substancialmente vedado com um revestimento compreendendo substancialmente um material baseado em polidiorganosiloxanos ou seus derivados que foi curado, preferivelmente com o auxílio de temperaturas superiores a aproximadamente 65,56<198>C (150<198>F). Em um aspecto da invenção, é empregada uma camada isolante tendo uma condutância térmica de aproximadamente 1,2 W/cm¬ 2¬K e um valor de resistência dielétrica de pelo menos aproximadamente 50 volts. Tal camada isolante pode compreender vantajosamente um ou mais materiais isolantes com poros que foram vedados de modo a impedir que materiais biológicos entrem nos poros, com tal material de vedação preferivelmente contendo um ou mais materiais de silicato ou materiais que formam silicatos. Em um outro aspecto da invenção, o corpo de metal é provido de modo a ter uma condutividade térmica de pelo menos aproximadamente 0,35 W/cmK, e pode compreender vantajosamente um metal selecionado a partir do grupo: ouro, prata, alumínio, cobre, tântalo, tungstênio, colúmbio e molibdênio.
