Abstract

"FREIO AZIMUTAL PARA INSTALAçõES DE FORçA EóLICA". A presente invenção refere-se a freio azimutal para instalações de força eólica, que compreende pelo menos dois pares de sapatas de freio (12A, 12B; 14A, 14B; 16A, 16B) dispostos em um disco de freio comum (10) e cada um tendo um atuador (24,30) associado com ele, caracterizado em que cada atuador compreende uma alavanca (30) que é articulável ao redor de um eixo que se estende normal ao plano do disco de freio (10), e uma transmissão (24) para transladar o movimento articulado da alavanca (30) para um movimento de engate axial das sapatas de freio (26) contra o disco de freio (10), e em que as alavancas (36) dos ditos pelo menos dois atuadores são acopladas por um mecanismo de acionamento comum (32).
