Abstract

"AMORTECEDOR DE TAXA DE MOLA DUPLA". Um amortecedor tem um pistão tendo um eixo geométrico, uma superfície externa, e extremidades opostas. Vedações elastoméricas estão em contato vedante com a superfície externa do pistão, as vedações sendo coaxiais com o pistão, e limitando o movimento do pistão para uma trajetória ao longo do eixo geométrico do pistão. As vedações também definindo câmaras de fluido adjacentes às extremidades do pistão. Uma passagem primária comunica as câmaras de fluido, e uma válvula seletivamente comutável controla um fluxo de fluido de uma das câmaras para outra das câmaras através da passagem primária. Quando o fluxo de fluido através da passagem primária é permitido, movimento do pistão é resistido por uma primeira taxa de mola devido a uma força de cisalhamento requerida para impelir deflexão de cisalhamento das vedações. Quando o fluxo de fluido através da passagem primária é restringido, o movimento do pistão é resistido por uma segunda taxa de mola devido a uma força de fluido requerida para impelir deflexão por protuberância das vedações.
