Abstract

"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA TRADUZIR NOMES DE RECURSOS EM UM AMBIENTE SEM FIO". Método e equipamento para traduzir nomes de recurso em um ambiente sem fio. é fornecido um método para traduzir um localizador de recurso em uma rede de dados para transmissão através de um canal de largura de banda baixa para um dispositivo sem fio. O método inclui etapas de detectar um localizador de recurso em uma mensagem transmitida para o dispositivo sem fio, em que o localizador de recurso excede um comprimento selecionado, e comprimir o localizador de recurso para obter um identificador de recurso correspondente que é de comprimento mais curto do que o localizador de recurso. O método também compreende etapas de substituir o identificador de recurso no lugar do localizador de recurso na mensagem para formar uma mensagem atualizada, e transmitir a mensagem atualizada para o dispositivo sem fio utilizando o canal de largura de banda baixa.
