"MéTODOS PARA COMPENSAR MUDANçAS NA PERCEPçãO HUMANA DE COR, PARA PREVER MUDANçAS NA PERCEPçãO HUMANA DE COR, PARA ILUSTRAR COMO A COR DE UMA AMOSTRA DE COR PEQUENA SERá PERCEBIDA PELA MENTE HUMANA, E, COMBINAçãO DE UM MEIO DE TRANSPORTE E UMA SEGUNDA COR CONFERIDA, APARELHO PARA FACILITAR O DESEMPENHO DO MéTODO, E, ADAPTAçãO". Um método, combinação ou aparelho para compensar por ou prever a mudança na percepção humana de cor que ocorre quando a cor é vista em uma área de superfície pequena como comparado com quando é vista se estendendo sobre uma área de superfície grande. A compensação ou previsão é realizada por aumento (compensação) ou diminuição (previsão) da clareza e croma da cor em um modo especificado. A invenção permite aos selecionadores de cores levar em conta as mudanças quando fazendo sua escolha de cores e é utilizável na escolha de cores para tintas, plásticos, têxteis ou superfícies iluminadas.
