"SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO METROPOLITANO OU DEACESSO óPTICO DE ALTA VELOCIDADE, FIBRA DETRANSMISSãO óPTICA UNIMODAL E MéTODO DETRANSMISSãO óPTICA POR MULTIPLEXAçãO POR DIVISãODE COMPRIMENTO DE ONDA". Uma fibra de transmissão ópticapara uso em uma rede metropolitana ou de acesso é apresentada.A linha de transmissão inclui uma fibra sendo unimodal a umprimeiro comprimento de onda operacional de cerca de 1310 nm eum segundo comprimento de onda operacional de cerca de 1550nm. A dispersão da fibra é negativa em um dos primeiro e segundocomprimentos de onda operacional e positiva no outro dos primeiroe segundo comprimentos de onda operacionais, com um valorabsoluto de entre cerca de 5 ps/nm/km e 15 os/nm/km. A fibratambém tem um comprimento de onda de dispersão zero que estálocalizado entre os primeiro e segundo comprimentos de ondaoperacional, e uma área efetiva a um comprimento de onda emtorno de 1550 nm maior que cerca de 60 <109>m^ 2^. A fibracabeada tem um comprimento de onda de corte inferior a cerca de1300 mn. A fibra permite operação de multiplexação por divisão porcomprimento de onda (WDM) em ambas as bandas (1310 nm e1550 nm) reduzindo efeitos não lineares tal como mixagem dequatro ondas (FWM).
