Patente de Invenção: "GENES DE PROTEìNAIMUNODOMINANTE DE 28 KILODALTONS HOMóLOGOS DEEHRLICHIA CANIS E USOS DOS MESMOS". A presenteinvenção é dirigida à clonagem, sequenciamento e expressão degenes de proteína de 28 kDa imunorreativo, ECa28-1 eECa28SA3, de uma família de genes múltiplos polimórficos deEhrlichia canis. Uma sequência completa de outro gene deproteína de 28 kDa, ECaSA2, é também provida. Ainda sedescreve um local de multigenes codificando todos os cinco genesde proteína de 28 kDa homólogos de Ehrlichia canis. As proteínasde 28 kDa de Ehrlichia canis recombinantes reagem com anti-sorode fase convalescente de um cachorro infectado com E. canis.
