Abstract

"PROCESSOS PARA CRIAR UM REGISTRO DE IDENTIFICAçãO PARA UM ANIMAL PARTICULAR, PARA IDENTIFICAR UM ANIMAL E PARA MELHORAR A CONFIANçA DAS TéCNICAS DE IDENTIFICAçãO DO ANIMAL, APARELHO PARA CRIAR UM REGISTRO DE IDENTIFICAçãO PARA UM ANIMAL PARTICULAR, E, SISTEMA PARA IDENTIFICAR UM ANIMAL" A presente invenção cria um registro permanente de um animal através de uma série de etapas, incluindo, preliminarmente, a aquisição de uma imagem da vasculatura retinal do animal de interesse; a digitalização aquela imagem, se a imagem não for uma imagem digital; análise da imagem para determinar se a imagem é satisfatória para outra análise; armazenagem da imagem; e análise da imagem quanto aos marcos anatómicos singulares. A imagem e dados daí colhidos pode ser armazenada em um banco de dados para posterior recuperação e comparação em relação a outras imagens. Os dados colhidos da imagem podem ser comparados com outros dados armazenados no banco de dados para determinar a identidade do animal. Preferivelmente, o sistema deve também incluir um dispositivo de sistema de posicionamento global ("GPS") que deve simultaneamente com o tempo e a data estampar a imagem adquirida, bem como estampar a imagem com a localização onde a geração de imagem tem lugar, mediante registro da latitude e da longitude daquela localização.
