Abstract
"MATRIZ DE EXTRUSãO E PROCESSO PARA A FABRICAçãO DE UMA MATRIZ DE EXTRUSãO". Uma matriz de extrusão compreende uma cavidade da matriz com condutor zero (12) possuindo uma forma que corresponde à forma da seção em corte da extrusão requerida. Com a finalidade de controlar o escoamento do material em extrusão através da cavidade, uma câmara de preforma (17) é proporcionada a qual se comunica com a cavidade da matriz mas tem uma área maior. A profundidade e/ou a largura da câmara de preforma variam nas diferentes regiões da mesma, as dimensões de cada região sendo relacionadas com as dimensões e posição da região correspondente da cavidade da matriz (12). Quando em uso, o material em extrusão passa através das diferentes regiões da câmara de preforma em diferentes velocidades, de tal forma que o material passa subsequentemente através de todas as regiões da cavidade da matriz propriamente dita com uma velocidade substancialmente uniforme. A profundidade da câmara de preforma não é maior que aproximadamente 5 mm, e pode ser de qualquer profundidade menor, até menos de aproximadamente 0,5 mm. An extrusion die comprises a zero-conducting die cavity (12) having a shape that corresponds to the shape of the required cross-section of the extrusion. In order to control the flow of the extruded material through the cavity, a preform chamber (17) is provided which communicates with the matrix cavity but has a larger area. The depth and / or width of the preform chamber vary in the different regions of the same, the dimensions of each region being related to the dimensions and position of the corresponding region of the matrix cavity (12). When in use, the extruded material passes through the different regions of the preform chamber at different speeds, such that the material subsequently passes through all regions of the die cavity itself with a substantially uniform speed. The depth of the preform chamber is not greater than approximately 5 mm, and can be of any depth less than less than approximately 0.5 mm. Despite its very small depth, the preform chamber allows an accurate control of the speed of the extruded material while at the same time allowing a high extrusion speed to be maintained.
