Abstract
"POLóIS DE ALTO PESO MOLECULAR, PROCESSO DE PREPARAçãO E USO DOS MESMOS" A invenção é um poliéter poliol de alto peso molecular preparado pela reação de um ou mais compostos tendo um ou mais compostos de hidrogênio ativo com um ou mais óxidos de alquileno na presença de um catalisador compreendendo cálcio tendo contra-íons de carbonato e um alcanoato C~ 6-10~ em um solvente ou dispersante não contendo átomos de hidrogênio ativo. O poliéter poliol, assim preparado, preferivelmente tem um peso equivalente de 1.000 a 20.000, uma polidispersidade de 1,3 ou menos e um nível residual de catalisador de 0 a 2.000 partes por milhão (ppm). Em uma outra configuração, a invenção é um processo para preparar tais poliéter polióis de alto peso molecular. O processo consiste primeiro, de contatar um ou mais compostos tendo um ou mais átomos de hidrogênio ativo com um ou mais óxidos de alquileno na presença de um catalizador. O catalisador compreende cálcio tendo contra-íons de carbonato e um alcanoato C~ 6-10~ em um solvente, onde o solvente não contém átomos de hidrogênio ativo. A mistura é exposta a condições nas quais o óxido de alquileno reage com o composto contendo mais que um átomo de hidrogênio ativo de modo que um poliéter poliol seja preparado tendo um peso equivalente de 1.000 a 20.000, uma polidispersidade de 1,3 ou menos, e um nível residual de catalisador de 0 de 1.000 (ppm).
