Abstract

''COPRESSãO DE VìDEO EM SISTEMA DE INFORMAçõES'' Trata-se de um campo de dados de imagem de vídeo para ser codificado por compressão que é dividido formando blocos retangulares. Cada um dos blocos retangulares é comparado (130) com um bloco (132) correspondente de uma imagem de referência para gerar dados de comparação. O bloco da imagem a ser codificada é selecionado para representação se os dados de comparação para o bloco cumprirem um critério de seleção. O mapeamento de dados é gerado, o qual é indicativo de locais no plano de imagem correspondente aos blocos selecionados. A imagem a ser codificada é representada na forma comprimida pelos dados de cabeçalho (106), os dados de mapeamento (108) o os dados de imagem representativos dos blocos selecionados. Quando a imagem de referência é codificada por compressão (206), os blocos podem ser expandidos em áreas da imagem de referência que corresponde a uma densidade de informações baixa. A configuração do sistema consiste de um painel posterior (46) que fica acoplado em uma unidade de processamento/compressão auxiliar (42) que faz interface com uma placa mãe (40) através de um barramento PCI.
