Abstract

"DETECçãO AUTOMáTICA DE FUNDO PARA DOCUMENTOS ESCANEADOS". Um método para gerar uma estatística de fundo que distingue entre informação de nível cinza proveniente de áreas do documento ou de fora do documento. O método inclui determinar uma estatística de fundo de página inteira a partir de pixels selecionados dentro de uma imagem escaneada; determinar uma estatística de fundo de sub-região a partir de pixels selecionados dentro de uma sub-região da imagem escaneada; determinar se a estatística de fundo de sub-região corresponde a dados de imagem provenientes de uma área que não é do documento; determinar se a estatística de fundo de página inteira está corrompida; e gerar uma estatística de fundo de página inteira validada se a estatística de fundo de página inteira estiver corrompida.
