Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"LINGOTEIRA PLURIANGULAR DE LINGOTAMENTO CONTìNUO EM CARGA DE UM PRODUTO METALúRGICO"<D>. Essa lingoteira compreende sucessivamente, na direção de extração do produto metalúrgico a lingotar (7), um ressalto (5) feito de material refratário não-resfriado que serve como reserva de metal em fusão a lingotar e um clássico elemento tubular metálico resfriado (6) para solidificação do metal. Uma fenda (18) de injeção de um gás de cisalhamento (Ar por ex.) é deixada entre o ressalto (5) e o elemento metálico (6) de maneira a desembocar na periferia interna da lingoteira. A fenda de injeção possui meios (17) de redução da vazão de gás em cada um dos ângulos da lingoteira, constituídos de preferência por elementos de obstrução. A invenção permite reduzir, e mesmo eliminar, os defeitos encontrados ao longo das arestas dos produtos lingotados solidificados.
