Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA OPERAR UM SISTEMA COMPREENDENDO UMA UNIDADE MESTRE SEM FIO E UMA OU MAIS UNIDADES ESCRAVAS SEM FIO, SISTEMA, E, UNIDADES MESTRE E ESCRAVA SEM FIO PARA USO EM UM SISTEMA". Um sistema compreende uma unidade mestre sem fio e uma ou mais unidades escravas sem fio, cada uma possuindo um identificador exclusivo. Quando uma unidade escrava sem fio está ativa, ela é endereçada por um de um número limitado de endereços temporários. Um modo PARK possibilita uma unidade escrava sem fio ficar em um estado ocioso durante o qual seu endereço temporário é desalocado, possibilitando que o endereço seja designado a uma outra unidade escrava sem fio. Para radiolocalizar uma escrava estacionada, um pacote de sinalização de radiolocalização é radiofundido para, e, recebido por cada uma das unidades escravas sem fio a intervalos fixos durante uma abertura de tempo escrava-para-mestre. Cada unidade escrava sem fio determina se o pacote de sinalização de radiolocalização recebido inclui seu identificador exclusivo. Caso positivo, a unidade escrava sem fio recupera um endereço temporário do pacote de sinalização de radiolocalização. A unidade sem fio transmite uma resposta à unidade mestre sem fio durante uma abertura de tempo escrava-para-mestre subsequente se o pacote de sinalização de radiolocalização recebido incluir o identificador exclusivo pertencente à unidade escrava sem fio. Unidades escravas sem fio estacionadas recebem também um número exclusivo de resposta pela mestre. A mestre radiofunde um pacote de sinalização de chamada seletiva durante uma abertura de tempo escrava-para-mestre.
