Abstract

<B>"APERFEIçOAMENTO EM COLUNA INTERMEDIáRIA DE DIREçãO"<D>. A presente invenção refere-se a aperfeiçoamento desenvolvido em coluna intermediária de direção que é dotada de um terceiro segmento que permite um deslizamento axial adicional e seq³encial ao estágio de trabalho, o que amplia significativamente o curso da coluna O terceiro segmento, proposto pela invenção, é formado pela guia entalhada (7), na qual é fixada uma das extremidades de um tubo de extensão (8), em cuja extremidade oposta há janelas (9) onde são montados guias deslizantes (10), pressionados externamente por uma capa (12). A guia entalhada (7) é montada deslizantemente sobre a barra entalhada (4), de modo que o tubo de extensão (8) se mantenha concêntrica e externamente a união da barra entalhada (4) com a luva (5). Os guias (10) deslizam nas superfícies planas (11), executadas em posições diametralmente opostas na superfície externa do tubo da luva (5). Para que a transmissão de torque, durante o primeiro estágio de distensão da coluna intermediária, ocorra somente entre os entalhados da barra (4) e do tubo da luva (5) é previsto um dispositivo automático que mantém o terceiro segmento recolhido. tal dispositivo compreende um anel de trava (15) que é fixado na luva (6) por meio de uma mola de retenção (16) que se encaixa em um alojamento específico. Na extremidade oposta do anel (15) há uma mola de trava (14) posicionado em um rasgo periférico, cujas laterais são totalmente vazadas. Desta forma, a mola (14), que possui os ramos laterais retos, trespassa a espessura do anel (15), ficando livre para penetrar no sulco periférico (13), executado na capa dos guias (12). Assim, a capa dos guias (12) fica aprisionado sob o anel (15) por ação das laterais da mola de travamento (14).
