Abstract

"MICROORGANISMO PERTENCENDO à FAMìLIA ACETOBACTERACEA, CEPA MICROBIANA, E, PROCESSOS PARA PRODUZIR XILITOL OU D-XILULOSE E PARA PRODUZIR ETANOL" De acordo com a presente invenção, são providos microorganismos tendo a capacidade de produzir xilitol ou D-xilulose por fermentação, e um processo para produzir xilitol ou D-xilulose usando os microorganismos. Os microorganismos osmofílicos foram coletados de solo, e os microorganismos obtidos forma pesquisados para uma bactéria tendo a capacidade de produzir xilitol ou D-xilulose a partir de glucose. Xilitol ou D-xilulose é produzido por cultivo de uma bactéria isolada em um meio apropriado para acumular xilitol ou D-xilulose no meio, e coletar xilitol ou D-xilulose do meio.
