Abstract

"FREIO DE INéRCIA PARA DIMINUIR A ROTAçãO DE UM EIXO GIRANDO LIVREMENTE EM UMA TRANSMISSãO". Em um freio de inércia de transmissão (4) um mecanismo de rampa esférica (8) é usado para carregar um pacote de embreagem (10) para diminuir a velocidade de um eixo de transmissão girando onde o pacote de embreagem (10) é carregado em um conjunto de acionamento de peça única (86) tendo uma seção de engrenagem (86A) para combinar com uma engrenagem de transmissão, uma seção de extensão (86B) para engatar uma placa de empuxo (32) em um conjunto isolador (34), uma seção de embreagem (10) para engatar uma pluralidade de placas de embreagem acionada (40) no pacote de embreagem (10) e uma seção de mancais (86D) para suporte rotacional dentro de um alojamento de freio (38). Uma armadura (16) tendo uma superfície periférica angulada engata uma superfície de fricção combinante formada em uma placa extrema (14) para formar uma embreagem alma (18), a armadura (16) estando magneticamente puxada devido à energização de uma bobina elétrica (12) energizada por um sinal de energia a partir de uma unidade de controle (45) fornecida através de um conector elétrico selado (70) desse modo introduzido uma força de frenagem friccional na armadura (16) para ativar o mecanismo de rampa esférica (8).
