A unidade (ECU) é arranjada para calcular sucessivos valores (E(n)) de um quantificador de erro (E) representativo da diferença entre o valor objetivo (X~ ref~) da voltagem controlada e o valor instantâneo (X) desta voltagem e para calcular valores sucessivos de uma quantidade de controle (Y) correspondente a intensidade da corrente a ser causada pelo fluxo do enrolamento de campo (3) em dependência dos valores precedentes (Y(n-1); Y(n-2)), desta quantidade de controle (Y) e no valor instantâneo e prévio (E(n), E(n-1)) do quantificador de erro (E).
