Abstract
The voltage regulator (VR) consists of an electronic control unit (ECU) connected to a circuit (11) to detect a controlled voltage and connected to a circuit (12) to drive the field coil (3) of the alternator (2). The unit (EUC) calculates the following values (E (n)) of an error amount (E) representing the difference between the target voltage of the controlled voltage (Xref) and the momentary values (X) of this voltage, and the current flowing through the field winding (3). the amount of control (Y) corresponding to its density, to the preceding values (Y (n-1)); (Y (n-2)) and the amount of error (E) are adjusted to calculate the subsequent values based on the instantaneous and previous values (E (n), E (n-1)).
