Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the reliability as well as realize a low cost for the DC stabilizing power supply unit, by supplying the reference voltate to be applied to the error amplifying circuit and the protective circuit from the same voltage source.
CONSTITUTION: The error amplifying circuit A1, the overvoltage detecting circuit C1 and the low voltage detecting circuit C2 are incorporated into the same integrated circuit. And at the same time, each reference voltage is supplied from the stabilizing power source VC via the bleeder resistances R1WR6. In such constitution, the detecting circuit works with the voltage set through the resistances R1W R6 to the output voltage at the normal time although the output voltage VOUT may become abnormal. Accordingly, the detection voltage of the protective circuit has not be controlled newly if the R1WR6 are set in a proper relation. And the relative ratio of each reference voltage is decided only by the relative ratio of the R1WR6, and thus a sufficiently high-accuracy setting is possible with the resistance within the element of the integrated circuit. In such way, not only the enhancement of reliability but a low cost can be realized for the power supply unit.
