Abstract
"PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA DETERMINAR CARACTERìSTICAS DE COMPONENTES DE UM CANAL DE COMUNICAçãO" Para determinar características de componentes de um canal de comunicação, por exemplo de um transponder em um satélite de comunicação, um sinal de portadora pura f(t) é modulado com um sinal de pseudo-ruído PN(t) e transmitido através do canal de comunicação em um nível abaixo do nível de um sinal útil que é transmitido via o canal de comunicação simultaneamente. O sinal recebido s'(t) é correlacionado com mesmo sinal de pseudo-ruído PN(t) para obter um sinal de portadora recuperada f(t). Ambos o sinal de portadora pura f(t) e o sinal de portadora recuperada f(t) podem ser usados para determinar as características desejadas. Visto que o sinal de portadora pura modulada com PN s(t) é transmitido em um baixo nível, é possível realizar medições sem desligar o sinal útil.
