Abstract

<B>ESTRUTURA ABSORVENTE<D> é revelada uma estrutura absorvente que compreende um polímero ácido ou básico intumescível em água e insolúvel em água, um segundo material básico ou ácido e, opcionalmente, um agente de tamponamento, em que a estrutura absorvente apresenta propriedades absorventes desejáveis. Especificamente a presente invenção refere-se a uma estrutura absorvente que tem a capacidade de absorver uma quantidade grande de líquido enquanto mantém um perfil de pH equilibrado e substancialmente desejado em ou ao longo da superfície superior da estrutura absorvente.
