Abstract

"PROCESSO E SISTEMA PARA TRANSFERIR MENSAGENS ELETRôNICAS". Um primeiro enlace sem fio entre um dispositivo de comunicação e um modem sem fio é automaticamente estabelecido, de tal modo que mensagens eletrônicas podem ser facilmente e automaticamente transferidas entre o dispositivo de comunicação e uma rede de dados, via primeiro enlace sem fio e um segundo enlace entre o modem sem fio e a rede de dados. Cada um entre o dispositivo de comunicação e modem sem fio pode automaticamente determinar se uma mensagem eletrônica deve ser transferida. Quando um entre o dispositivo de comunicação e modem sem fio determina que uma mensagem eletrônica dever ser transferida, o determinado entre o dispositivo de comunicação e o modem sem fio envia um sinal de busca para o outro entre o dispositivo de comunicação e modem sem fio. Quando o outro entre o dispositivo de comunicação e modem sem fio recebe o sinal de busca e responde, o primeiro enlace sem fio é estabelecido. A mensagem eletrônica é então transferida entre o dispositivo de comunicação e a rede de dados, via primeiro enlace sem fio e segundo enlace. O dispositivo de comunicação pode ser um computador portátil tal como um computador "lap-top", e o modem sem fio pode residir em um telefone ou similar de sistema de comunicação celular ou pessoal (PCS).
