Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"LIVRO IMPRESSO COM ACRéSCIMO DE DADOS ELETRôNICOS ASSOCIADOS"<D>. Trata-se de um livro impresso que tem associado a ele certos dados armazenados eletronicamente na forma de imagens, sons e/ou texto suplementar. Dicas visuais são proporcionadas ao leitor do livro na adjacência do texto que tem dados armazenados eletronicamente associados. O dado eletrônico, de preferência é armazenado em um servidor remotamente acessível. Uma interface gráfica do usuário é proporcionada para controlar o acesso aos dados armazenados no servidor. Quando o leitor do livro deseja acessar os dados associados a uma parte do texto, o leitor usa um dispositivo de apontamento do computador para selecionar ou manipular os índices na interface gráfica do usuário correspondentes à dica visual no livro. O servidor recupera os dados apropriados que então são apresentados ao leitor como imagens, sons e/ou texto suplementar no computador do leitor, proporcionando assim uma experiência de leitura melhorada em multimídia.
