Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA ARREDONDAR EXTREMIDADE DE FIBRAS SOLTAS DE MATERIAL TERMOPLáSTICO PARA USO EM FABRICAçãO DE ESCOVA". Para moldagem de implante de escovas de dentes fibra pré-cortada e pré-arredondada de material termoplástico é usada. Fibras soltas são apresentadas a uma ferramenta de arredondamento de extremidade em um tufo ou feixe e as extremidades livres das fibras são expostas a uma superfície de trabalho da ferramenta. Movimento relativo entre as extremidades de fibra e superfície de trabalho causa o material das fibras ser aquecido por fricção de uma predeterminada intensidade. As fibras enquanto são expostas à superfície de trabalho da ferramenta são permitidas flexionar lateralmente e são retidas em uma direção axial do tufo ou feixe com suas extremidades livres comumente definindo uma superfície diferente de um plano que é perpendicular à direção axial, por esse meio obtendo uma resistência a flexão substancialmente consistente através de toda a seção transversal do tufo ou feixe com respeito à deflexão lateral no contato pela ferramenta de arredondamento de extremidade.
