Abstract

<B>"MéTODO PARA IGNIçãO DE UMA REAçãO DE FASE GASOSA CATALISADA"<D> A presente invenção trata-se de um método aperfeiçoado de ignição de uma reação química de fase gasosa catalisada, o qual envolve o ato de se empregar um vaso do reator (10), sendo que o reagente gasoso, atravessando continuamente o reator, entra em contato com um meio catalisador metálico de fase sólida (18), com uma bobina indutiva (14) dentro do reator (10) no lado de entrada do catalisador, e uma barreira contra faísca e radiação térmica e porosa (17) entre a bobina de indução (14) e o catalisador sólido (18). De acordo com o método aperfeiçoado de ignição, o meio catalisador metálico (18) é indutivamente aquecido a fim de iniciar a ignição da reação química, e depois da ignição o aquecimento indutivo é suspenso e se baseia na exotermia da reação química para sustentar a temperatura da reação. Esse reator e método de operação é particularmente útil para a produção contínua de cianeto de hidrogênio pelo processo de Andrussow.
