【発明の詳細な説明】
（イ）産業上の利用分野
この発明は燃料などに用いられる水性ガスの製造する方
法に関する。

従来、水を気化させ、発生した水蒸気を高温下で炭素で
還元し、水性ガスを発生する方法があった。

炭化水素の燃焼炉の排気口に、公知の水性ガス製造炉を

炭化水素の燃焼炉の排気口から出る燃焼ガスは、多量の
水蒸気を含み、かなり高温であ゛る。この燃焼ガスは、
水性ガス製造炉を通過中に、水性ガス製造炉中の赤熱し
たコークスに還元され、水性ガスを生成する。

この発明は、例えば重油火力発電所、液化石油ガス火力
発電所等に実施可能である。

この発明は、炭化水素の燃焼ガス中の水蒸気を原料とし
て利用するので、水を気化させる必要がなく、又、燃焼
ガスの持つ熱が、水蒸気の還元反応に必要な熱の一部と
して利用されるため、水性ガス製造に必要な燃料を減少
させる効果がある。
