Cesta para manipular sucata em cooperação com um forno de arco (11) e com dispositivo para preaquecer a sucata por meio de dos vapores do quarto furo (14), a cesta sendo capaz de ser associada com um sistema de cobertura móvel (16) e incluindo um corpo de recipiente, um fundo equipado com meios de fechamento inferiores dentados que podem ser momentaneamente abertos e extersões laterais para mover e posicionar a cesta, o corpo de recipiente compreendendo uma primeira parte superior (10a) que atua como um armazenamento intermédiario para temporariamente aumentar a capacidade da cesta (10) e uma segunda parte inferior (10b) para conter a sucata, com uma capacidade substancialmente correspondentes ao volume da carga do forno de fundição (11) que ele deve alimentar, em que a segunda parte inferior (10b) é associada com o dispositivo de resfriamento.
