No eixo de articulação (4), do lado de braço de dobradiça, da alavança articulada externa (8), está montada uma mola de braços (9) com braços (20, 21) que se sobrecruzam. A mola de braços (9) pressiona a alavanca articulada interna (3) para a posição de fechamento. Neste caso, ambos os braços (20, 21) da mola de braços (9), na posição de fechamento da dobradiça, exercem um momento de torção sobe a alavanca articulada interna (5).
