"PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA PRODUZIR FERRO DIRETAMENTE REDUZIDO". Um sistema para produzir ferro diretamente reduzido no qual material de óxido de ferro e material carbonato são passados sucessivamente através de uma zona de oxidação e de uma zona de redução de um forno, cada zona afogueada por combustão de oxigênio-combustível, permitindo uma redução na quantidade de combustível necessária para processar o material gerando simultaneamente monóxido de carbono suficiente para efetuar a redução e garantir que pouco ou nenhum monóxido de carbono seja emitido do forno.
