Abstract

"ORGANIZAçãO DE MEMóRIA DE COMPUTADOR". Em uma memória em um sistema computadorizado, os buffers são definidos por um sistema de gerenciamento de buffers. Um comando Set Buffers define um número (NP) de conjuntos de buffers e para cada conjunto, um comprimento de grupo (PS) dos vários buffers no conjunto e o comprimento (BS) dos buffers naquele conjunto. O sistema de gerenciamento de buffers é inicializado para armazenar os comprimentos dos buffers e acumular e armazenar os comprimentos dos grupos. Para, endereçar um buffer, o sistema de gerenciamento de buffers determina o endereço do início do buffer, a partir dos números do conjunto e do buffer desejados, usando as informações armazenadas. Também, para atualização de uma memória flash paginada, uma página Pn da memória flash (4024) é copiada como uma página de imagem na memória RAM (4022) e a página da imagem é atualizada e gravada de novo em uma página diferente na memória flash. Uma tabela de registro principal (22) é retida em uma memória não volátil separada (EEPROM 4026), identificando as páginas válidas na memória flash, e é atualizada, quando uma página na memória flash tiver sido atualizada. A tabela de registro principal inclui uma seção de detecção de erro CRC (25) e é copiada para uma tabela de registro de recuperação (23), imediatamente após ter sido atualizada.
