Abstract

"MéTODO PARA MODIFICAR AS ESPECIFICAçõES DE COMPRIMENTO DE CADEIA E DE POSIçõES DE UMA DESATURASE E DESATURASE DE ACILA-ACP MODIFICADA", é divulgado um método para modificar as especificidades de comprimento de cadeia e de posições de cadeias duplas de uma desaturase de ácidos graxos vegetais solúvel. Mais especificamente, o método envolve modificar resíduos de contato de aminoácido no canal de ligação a substrato da desaturase de ácido graxo solúvel que contactam o ácido graxo. Divulga-se especificamente a modificação de uma desaturase de acila-ACP. Os resíduos de contato de aminoácido que jazem dentro do canal de ligação a substrato são identificados e subseq³entemente substituídos por diferentes resíduos, para efetuar a modificação de atividade.
