Abstract
"PROCESSO E APARELHO PARA MULTIPLEXAR PACOTES DE DADOS DE USUáRIO SEGMENTADOS EM UM FLUXO DE CéLULAS DE DADOS EM UM SISTEMA DE TELECOMUNICAçõES". O segmentar, multiplexar e transportar pacotes de dados em um sistema de telecomunicações que emprega o Modo de Transferência Assíncrono pode ser ealizado mais eficientemente pelo alocar um código de prioridade de transmissão a cada pacote de dados de usuário segmentado baseado sobre o tio de dados nele contidos. Os dados que são altamente sensíveis a retardos de transmissão (por exemplo dados de voz) terão a eles alocada uma alta prioridade, ao passo que aos dados que são menos sensíveis a retardos de transmissão (por exemplo, dados de medição de intensidade de sinal) será alocada uma prioridade mais baixa. Quando os segmentos de pacote de dados de usuário são montados em minicélulas segmentares e multiplexados no fluxo de dados de célula ATM, aqueles com a prioridade mais alta serão inseridos primeiro para que experimentem o grau mínimo de retardo de transmissão.
