Em conseq³ência, a invenção proporciona um aparelho para escavação submarina (300a, b, c) que compreende um corpo oco (370a, b, c) tendo pelo menos uma entrada (371a, b, c) e pelo menos uma saída (373a, b, c), pelo menos um par de rotores (335a, b, c), (340a, b, c) coaxialmente deslocados um do outro e girantemente montados no corpo oco (370a, b, c), e dispositivos para acionar os rotores em direções de rotação contrárias. O aparelho para escavação submarina (300a, b, c) compreende um par de entradas horizontalmente opostas (371a, b, c) comunicantes com uma única saída (373a, b, c) a saída (373a, b, c) sendo dispostas verticalmente para baixo substancialmente a meio caminho entre as duas entradas, em uso.
