Abstract
"SISTEMA DE TUBOS ASCENDENTES FLEXìVEL". Um sistema de tubos ascendentes flexível/rígido dobrável contínuo (10) é provido para acoplar um ponto submarino (28) a uma plataforma ou barco ao largo da costa (16). O sistema de tubos ascendentes compreende uma primeira seção de tubulação (28) acoplada em sua extremidade superior à plataforma. Diversas seções de tubulação intermediárias (30) são mutuamente acopladas de extremidade a extremidade, e elas são acopladas em série com a primeira seção de tubulação rígida por meio de uma pluralidade de acoplamentos flexíveis (32). A extremidade inferior (26) da última na série de seções de tubulação intermediárias é acoplada ao ponto no fundo do mar (28). O sistema de tubos ascendentes flexível/rídigo reduz as tensão de flexão transmitidas ao longo do tubo ascendente ao permitir o deslocamento angular das seções de tubulação umas em relação às outras.
