Abstract
PLANTA, CÉLULA DE PLANTA, CULTURA DE TECIDOS DE CÉLULAS, PARTE DE PLANTA, SEMENTE, USO DE UMA PLANTA, MÉTODOS PARA DETECTAR E/OU SELECIONAR PLANTAS, CONFERIR RESISTÊNCIA AO TOBRFV, MELHORAR O RENDIMENTO DE TOMATEIROS E REDUZIR A PERDA NA PRODUÇÃO DE TOMATE E USOS DE UM MARCADOR. A invenção diz respeito a uma planta Solanum lycopersicum compreendendo em seu genoma um QTL que confere à planta uma resistência melhorada ao vírus do fruto rugoso castanho do tomateiro (Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus - ToBRFV), em relação a uma planta correspondente desprovida do referido QTL, e em que o referido QTL é introgredido de S. pimpinellifolium e deve ser encontrado no cromossomo 9, dentro da região cromossômica delimitada pelo SNP TO-0201220 (SEQ ID NO: 1) e o SNP com SEQ ID NO: 101 ou no cromossomo 11, dentro da região cromossômica delimitada por marcadores com SEQ ID NO: 102 e 115. Estes QTLs podem ser escolhidos dentre aqueles presentes no genoma de uma planta das sementes LVSTBRFVRES2 com número de acesso NCIMB 43591. O QTL é preferencialmente caracterizado por alelos definidos de diferentes SNPs no cromossomo 9 ou 11. A invenção também é direcionada a partes dessas plantas com resistência melhorada, bem como à progênie, ao uso dessas plantas para introgressão da resistência melhorada em outro fundo genético, bem como a diferentes métodos de obtenção das plantas ou sementes de tomate com maior resistência foliar e/ou de frutos ao vírus Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit.
