Abstract

MÉTODO PARA AUMENTAR O NÍVEL DE ÁCIDO EICOSAPENTAENOICO NO PLASMA DE UM ANIMAL. É divulgado neste documento um método para aumentar a razão de EPA:DHA no plasma em um animal não humano alimentando o animal com dieta de ácidos graxos poli-insaturados ricos em DHA. Um exemplo de tal dieta de ácidos graxos poli-insaturados ricos em DHA contém pelo menos 0,6% de DHA em peso da ração. Também é divulgada neste documento uma composição de ração animal compreendendo ácido graxo poli-insaturado rico em DHA. Um exemplo de tal composição de ração animal é a ração para animais de estimação.
