Abstract
PROCESSO PARA PREPARAÇÃO DE ETILENOGLICOL. Trata-se de um processo para a preparação de etilenoglicol que compreende as etapas de: a) abastecer uma primeira composição gasosa que compreende óxido de etileno e dióxido de carbono a um absorvedor de óxido de etileno e permitir que a composição gasosa passe para cima através de uma seção de absorção; b) abastecer um absorvente pobre ao topo da seção de absorção e permitir que o absorvente pobre passe para baixo através da seção de absorção; c) colocar em contato íntimo a composição gasosa com absorvente pobre nas bandejas na seção de absorção na presença de um ou mais catalisadores para produzir uma corrente de absorvente de gordura que compreende etilenoglicol e carbonato de etileno; d) retirar o absorvente de gordura do absorvedor; e e) retirar uma segunda composição gasosa do topo do absorvedor. A primeira composição gasosa compreende de 1 a 7% em mol de óxido de etileno. A segunda composição gasosa compreende de 1 a 10% em mol de dióxido de carbono. E a temperatura da primeira composição gasosa é de 60 °C a 160 °C.
