Abstract
AQUECEDOR ÔHMICO, APARELHO DE LAVAGEM, E, MÉTODO DE AQUECIMENTO DE UM LÍQUIDO. Um aquecedor ôhmico tem uma estrutura (20) que define um caminho de fluxo que se estende em uma direção a jusante (D), um primeiro par de eletrodos (34a, 34b) e um segundo par de eletrodos (36a, 36b). Os eletrodos de cada par são adjacentes uns aos outros na direção a jusante, mas espaçados uns dos outros em uma direção perpendicular à direção a jusante; os pares de eletrodos são espaçados uns dos outros na direção a jusante. Um circuito elétrico (40,42,44,46,48,50) é operacional para aplicar uma tensão (i) entre os eletrodos (34a,34b) do primeiro par; ou (ii) entre os eletrodos (36a, 36b) do segundo par; ou (iii) entre pelo menos um eletrodo (34a) do primeiro par e pelo menos um eletrodo (36b) do segundo par, podendo variar a tensão aplicada. O aquecedor pode atender a condições variadas, como mudanças na condutividade do líquido que flui através do aquecedor.
