processo para preparação de um polímero de etileno. trata-se de um processo para preparação de um polímero de etileno em uma polimerização em suspensão, que compreende a separação da suspensão formada de partículas de polímero de etileno em um separador sólido-líquido em partículas de polímero de etileno úmidas e licor mãe, que transfere uma parte do licor mãe para uma seção de finalização que compreende um evaporador para produzir uma porção com baixo teor de cera do licor mãe, que compreende uma unidade de destilação de diluente, que produz diluente isolado a partir da porção com baixo teor de cera do licor mãe e que compreende uma unidade de remoção de cera operada por destilação a vapor direto que produz uma mistura de hidrocarboneto gasoso/vapor que é condensada e então separada em uma fase aquosa e uma fase de hidrocarboneto, em que pelo menos uma parte da fase de hidrocarboneto é transferida para a unidade de destilação de diluente, sem passar pelo evaporador, para produzir a porção com baixo teor de cera do licor mãe.
