Uma turbina a vapor (1a; 1b), tendo uma carcaça externa de turbina a vapor (20), uma carcaça interna de alta pressão (30) tendo uma primeira seção de entrada de vapor de processo (31) e uma primeira seção de saída de vapor de processo (32) para conduzir o vapor de processo via a carcaça interna de alta pressão da primeira seção de entrada de vapor de processo para a primeira seção de saída de vapor de processo em uma primeira direção de expansão de vapor de processo (33), uma carcaça interna de baixa pressão (40) tendo uma segunda seção de entrada de vapor de processo (41) e uma segunda seção de saída de vapor de processo (42) para a condução do vapor de processo via a carcaça interna de baixa pressão da segunda seção de entrada de vapor de processo para a segunda seção de saída de vapor de processo em uma segunda direção de expansão de vapor de processo (43), e um superaquecedor intermediário (50), que é disposto a jusante da carcaça interna de alta pressão e a montante da carcaça interna de baixa pressão, em que a carcaça interna de alta pressão e a carcaça interna de baixa pressão são dispostas dentro da carcaça externa de turbina a vapor, e a carcaça interna de alta pressão e a carcaça interna de baixa pressão são dispostas para que a primeira seção de entrada de vapor da carcaça interna de alta pressão fique de frente para a segunda seção de entrada de vapor da carcaça interna de baixa pressão.
