Abstract
a invenção refere-se a um processo para a produção de uma espuma tendo baixas emissões de compostos orgânicos, para produtos espumados de polipropileno obteníveis pelo processo, e a um processo para a fabricação de artigos de baixa emissão de compostos orgânicos compreendendo uma espuma para uso em carros e embalagens de alimentos. o processo compreende as etapas de: a) prover uma espuma compreendendo uma composição de propileno compreendendo um homopolímero ou copolímero de propileno de alta resistência em fusão (hms-pp) ou combinações dos mesmos, dita espuma hms-pp tendo uma resistência em fusão de pelo menos 25 cn a uma velocidade máxima de pelo menos 200 mm/s e uma temperatura de fusão de pelo menos 135°c e b) submeter a espuma hms-pp a um tratamento térmico a uma temperatura tt que está preferivelmente entre 5 e 15°c abaixo da temperatura de fusão tm do hms-pp por uma duração entre preferivelmente 1 e 10 minutos.
